NAMIBIA PHOTO TOUR PROGRAMME
Quiver tree forest
DAY 1
– Meet at 08:00 am at Hosea Kutako International Airport for the start of our photography tour.
– At 09:00 am departure to Quiver Tree Forest.
– After a 6-7 hour drive we will arrive & check in to the Quivertree Forest Rest Camp where we check into our rooms.
– After dinner, we will head out for a the first of our night photography workshops and session.
DAY 2
– After resting in the morning you can explore the grounds surrounding the lodging.
– Just before sunset we will head out to explore the giant’s playground & spend the night in the Quivertree Forest for a night photography session.
FARM LAND (SECRET LOCATION)
DAY 3
– After leaving Quivertree Forest we will drive 5 hours to arrive at our next destination in the Farm Land at a secret location where we will check in to our hotel for the next 2 nights.
– Just before sunset we will head out for a night photography session at the stunning dead trees on this private farmland.
DAY 4
-Daytime processing session and tips on how to get the most out of your images.
– Just before sunset we will head out for another night photography session at the stunning dead trees on this private farmland (there are around 10 dead trees all separated from one another that align perfectly with the milky way, some towering as tall as 5 meters).
DEADVLEI
DAY 5
– After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at the next stop of our photography tour – Sesriem, and check into Sossus Dune Lodge which is located past both the security gates and inside the national park, this guarantees us exclusive early bird and late exit to all the highlights such as Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Big Mama Dune & many more.
– Just before sunset we will do a short excursion to Deadvlei for a sunset photography session.
– After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.
DAY 6
– An hour before sunset we will make our way to Deadvlei & Sossusvlei for a sunrise photography session and if we are fast enough possibly some blue hour shots of the dead trees.
– A little after sunrise we will slowly head back to our hotel to rest and enjoy lunch.
– An hour before sunset we will go on a private drive into Deadvlei where we will be allowed to stay a little later than normal and capture a few more shots in late blue hour and have another one of our night photography workshop sessions.
-After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.
BIG MAMA DUNE
DAY 7
– An hour before sunset we will make our way to Big Mama Dune for a sunrise photography session.
– A little after sunrise we will slowly head back to our hotel to rest and enjoy lunch.
– An hour before sunset we will go on another private drive into Deadvlei where we will be allowed to stay a little later than normal and capture a few more shots in late blue hour and dark night.
Note: the hike to Deavlei is 25 minutes each way and from the parking, it’s a short walk to Big Mama Dune where it’s a possibility to stay and shoot an extra 25 minutes whilst the others are hiking back from Deadvlei.
-After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.
SWAKOPMUND
DAY 8
– After a 5 hour drive we will arrive at The Delight hotel in Swakopmund.
– We will then head to the Jetty Pier for an evening walk and dinner at the Famous Jetty.
– After we will return to rest at our hotel.
DAY 9
– Around 7:30 am we will head out to Walvis Bay to go on a Catamaran Tour till 13:00 pm to see the various marine life that thrives on the coast of Namibia. Here we will see Dolphins, Seals, Pelicans and various other breeds of birds – all an amazing part of our photography tour.
– In the afternoon we will head back to Swakopmund for a Quad Bike session on the Dunes.
– In the evening we will have dinner and return to our rooms to rest.
SPITZKOPPE
DAY 10
– After a 3-hour drive we will arrive at Spitzkoppe Lodge where we will be spending the night.
– We will then head out for a sunset photography session and stay in the dark at the famous Arch – a perfect spot for our night photography workshop.
– After returning to the hotel we can image from outside our rooms with the stunning view of the Spitzkoppe.
ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
DAY 11
– After a 5 hour drive we will arrive to Etosha Safari Lodge.
– We will then head out for a 2-3 hour Safari Game drive.
– After we will return to our hotel to have dinner and rest or do night photography from the grounds.
DAY 12
– Our day will start early around sunrise and we will venture on a 9 hour Safari Game Drive to try and capture as much wildlife photography as we can.
– After we will return to our hotel to have our farewell dinner and review of the trip.
FAREWELL
– After a 5 hour drive we will return to Hosea Kutako International Airport to head home. Drop off time is at 16:00pm.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
– DSLR or Mirrorless Camera
– Sturdy tripod (rental option available)
– Remote shutter release Cable preferably
– Wide angle lens with fast aperture preferably for Night & Landscape Photography
-Long focal lengths or zoom lens for wildlife & Safari
– Hiking Boots
– Warm jacket as temperatures can drop low in the desert at night
– Head Lamp
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
If a participant decides to cancel their reservation of this photography tour, they can do so at any time by communicating it as soon as possible to the official email address of the organiser at barakatphotography@outlook.com
– However, you should keep in mind that the cancellation by a participant would create management difficulties in bookings as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to search for a new person).
For this reason:
– The initial deposit of 1500CHF Swiss Francs is non-refundable and non-negotiable.
– If the cancellation request is submitted 90 days prior to the tour no additional cost will be charged.
– If the cancellation request is presented LESS than 90 days before departure, it will NOT be possible to receive a refund of the full booking amount.
– Unless the customer that desires to cancel his booking brings in another person who is willing to take their place by paying the total amount of the trip itself.

Isabella Tabacchi
Landscape Photographer
Isabella Tabacchi is an award winning landscape photographer, internationally recognized for her evocative, emotional, and dreamlike photographic style.
She is Hasselblad Heroine, has been part of the Grand Jury of the Hasselblad Masters 2021, received the title of Photographer of the Year in Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA) and several other awards since 2016.
She won the third price in the International Landscape Photographer of the year 2020 and her pictures were selected in the ILPOTY 2022 book.
Isabella is juror in the Epson International Pano Awards and in several other contests like Annual Photo Awards and Canarian Photo Awards.
